Nigel Friend

Nigel Friend is the director of Warringal Physiotherapy and has been a physiotherapist for over 23 years. He achieved a Masters Degree in physiotherapy after completing a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in physiotherapy. Nigel's Masters thesis focused on the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular response to different types of exercise. Nigel favours a hands on approach to treatment, specialising in the treatment of musculo-skeletal injuries and the rehabilitation of back, neck and shoulder injuries.
Nigel's keen interest in sport has seen him involved in the elite sporting world; as part of Port Adelaide Football club's support team for 4 years and he is currently one of the Australian Mens Masters Hockey Team’s treating physiotherapists. His treating skills and knowledge of anatomy have been recognised through his involvement with Melbourne University where he worked as a tutor in the undergraduate Physiotherapy program.
Being an avid cyclist and swimmer himself, Nigel has a strong interest in sports related injuries, but also enjoys treating patients who suffer from compromised ergonomics or require ongoing rehabilitation.
 

Reza Fotoohabadi

Reza Fotoohabadi gained his Bachelors Degree in physiotherapy 25 years ago and 5 years later, his Masters in physiotherapy from Shiraz University in Iran. After this, Reza became a lecturer at the University and did so for over 20 years until he moved to Melbourne and received his PhD from Melbourne University in 2006.
Reza then went into research at La Trobe University for 4 years before teaching physiotherapy. He has a diverse experience in physiotherapy in different aspects such as Musculo-skeletal, neuromuscular, sport injuries, pain syndromes, falls prevention and geriatrics. He therefore specialises in Orthopedics (rehabilitation after joint replacement), Geriatrics and Sport Injuries.
